Blades Of Steel...
So last night the boys from the footy club organized a game of ice hockey after our annual general meeting for the Toronto Eagles AFC. They rented a rink for an hour and more than twenty of us head on to the ice to battle it out.
This was to be a night of many first for me as for 1 i have never played ice hockey before and 2 I've never even skated.
After being kitted up in all the major gear (helmet, gloves, skates, hockey stick, elbow pad, knee pads, box, chest guard, and but and thigh guards) I was to venture out on to the rink.
Woooohhooo!!! what a rush, after my initial awkwardness (and my first of many falls) I was into the swing of things. By the end of the hour I was better than average (I feel I was better than a beginner by the end) and i manage not to fall too many times.
I can't wait until the next outing which will be mid Febuary. So once I get a pair of skates and go out for a few practice skates i'm hoping to be better.
Catch Yas..
Here are two pictures of me.. I'm Number 10 in the white jersey..
