Lets Get Ready To Rumble!!!!

Tonight I went to see the the phenomenon that is, The World Wrestle Entertainment (WWE)...

Yes, grown men playing around in tights (Though occasionally women too)... It all started with a phone call from a buddy earlier in the day, mentioning that he had two free tickets, and as quick as you can say "Hulkamania" I was heading to the Air Canada Centre my for my first WWE experience...

Now growing up loving wrestling as a little kid and following such superstars as the immortal Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock... Now due to these childhood memories I had high expectations for a live event...

Arriving at the Air Canada Centre we were ushered to our seats, and what great seats they were too (for $80 a ticket, even though they were free, it was expect)... we were treated to 4 hours worth of entertainment... Yes, 4 hours....

You see they do two shows in one night... the first SmackDown! is pre-record for broadcasting on a Friday night... The second show is Raw which is the the 'Main Event' is broadcast live to the world...

The second show, Raw, was definitely the better show... I think the fact that it was broadcast live to the world just made the whole atmosphere that much better... The fans in the crowd were a lot more vocal and the quality of the wrestling/drama was also more superior... Ha-Has and let me tell ya, the crowd was defiantly something else...

You see everyone knows that the wrestling, whilst the athleticism is real, is fake... Yet grown man in the crowd were so delusional that they obviously have know idea of that fact... They were booing, chanting and occasionally saying some rude, rude words... Needless to say there were kids present...

It was good to see a large number of kids in the crowd though... as they were having an amazing time with their parents cheering for there favorite wrestling superstar... I'm glad wrestling still provides that excitement and imagination to this generation as it did to mine...

All in all this was a fantastic event and the Sal-O-Meter is set firmly on a 10... Just like my first NBA experience this has been one of those childhood wishes, to see one of these events, and I'd say the pageantry and entertainment lived up to childhood expectation that I had for it...

"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF YYYYYYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU SSSSSSMMMMMMEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL... What the Rock... Is... Cook'n!"
