AFL Football in Canada?... Toronto Eagles?....
Hey everyone...
Well yours truly was searching the Internet the other day and what do i happen to come across... Canada has an AFL football league!!!! How fantastic is that...
Nothing to crazy, it's at the level of our amateur clubs, like my old team North Fremantle...But the good news is, Toronto has a team who is just to my liking... The Toronto Eagles!!... and as you can tell by the picture there emblems quite familiar.. These guys have one the premiership an amazing 10 times including last year...
As you all know i love my footy, and love to play... so i figured i would apply to play for the team, stating my previous superstar achievements of course... Well wouldn't you know it, about 15 minutes later i get a reply from the team, stating how they are always looking for "Aussies" to play on their team, looking at my credentials i'm in the team.... They also told me to give them a call so we can arrange to get together for a few drinks...
So i ring up and speak to "Azza" (Aaron) he's one of the Canadians who's on the team, and we had a cool chat about footy and how things are going for me in Canada... well, the conversation ends with him telling me that he's gonna help me out with accommodation and will get a place to stay... he's gonna get back to me in the next few days... How lucky's that!! So the next few days are gonna be exciting..
